Former Wittekindshof runner Near Poet recorded a fine win in a 2400m allowance race in Wissembourg, France. The four-year-old, who is prepared by Bohumil Nedoostek for Darius Racing had amateur jockey Marie Gast in the saddle when he scored by three quarters of a length.
