The first winner of this year's Derby meeting at Hamburg Horn is NAME LORD. The two-year-old Lord of England colt out of our Dalakhani daughter NEAR DAM impressed with his talent in the opening maiden race for the youngsters over 1,400 metres. Ridden by Rene Piechulek, Andreas Suborics' protégé broke well and jumped to the lead right away. Taking the field around the final turn, NAME LORD showed a lot of heart in a two horse finish when he appeared beaten but found the higher gear and had a neck-length advantage at the post.
